Footwear Impression Evidence

Footwear impressions at a crime scene are a valuable form of physical evidence that can answer several critical questions. In this class students will learn how to recover footwear impressions at a crime scene and compare questioned impressions from a crime scene to the known shoes of suspects for the purposes of classification and identification. Each participant will get to take home a dental stone cast of their own footwear impression.

The afternoon session for middle school students begins at 1pm and ends at 3pm.

Classes can be cancelled with a full refund two weeks prior to the start of each class.

**The Forensic Science Saturdays classes incorporate case studies and mock crime scenes into the curricula to illustrate practical applications of what is learned in class. These case studies and mock crime scenes are often of a violent nature. Parental discretion is advised.**
