This course targets at children aged 4-6 who is interested in learning Chinese. The course is taught in immersion style where the instructor uses Chinese almost entirely. Topics include Chinese Mandarin Pinyin, children's songs, stories, arts and crafts, games, etc.
Below is the format of a sample class:

Review the Pinyin learned in last class;

Learn the sound and form of Pinyin “a o e”;

Learn the numbers one, two, three, four in Chinese;

Short stories in Chinese: Little Bunny; Tadpole Finding Mom;

Drawing: tadpoles;

Get familiar with some Chinese characters using flash cards
Students are expected to be able to stay in the classroom for an extended period of time and follow instructions. Since the class is taught almost entirely in Chinese, it is recommended that the student understands at least a little bit of Chinese. There is no prerequisite for this class.
Upon completion of registration, WVU CPE will send to the email address on the profile the Release of Liability and Media Waiver form with instructions. This will be sent within five (5) business days of a completed registration.
